Chick-fil-A plans Customer Appreciation Week

The Tribune received the following information about a deal next week at Mesa Riverview’s Chick-fil-A restaurant:

Chick-fil-A Loves Mesa! Mesa Riverview Restaurant Hosts Customer Appreciation Week Extravaganza Celebration July 13 - 18 to include family activities and free food giveaways

WHAT:
To thank its customers in the Mesa community for their loyalty over the years, the Chick-fil-A® restaurant at Mesa Riverview, located at 905 North Dobson Road, will host a Customer Appreciation Week from July 13 - 18. The week will include a variety of activities for the whole family!

Along with product sampling, giveaways, contests for Chick-fil-A prizes and opportunities to meet the Chick-fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin®” Cow throughout the week, the community is invited to take part in the following:
• Tuesday, July 14, 5 - 8 p.m.: Extreme Dinner Makeover - Join Chick-fil-A to enjoy a fine dining experience, including table-side service, a full service wait staff, and a plated dinner.

• Thursday, July 16, 5 - 8 p.m.: Hollywood Night: Customers fully dressed as their favorite movie character will be rewarded with a free Chick-fil-A Meal. Guests that partially dress as their favorite character will receive a complimentary entrée. The restaurant will be decorated for the Hollywood theme.

• Saturday, July 18, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Community Pool Party - Chick-fil-A will be at the Carson/Westwood Aquatic Center offering a free Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich to attendees (while supplies last). The community will also have an opportunity to meet the “Eat Mor Chikin” Cow, participate in activities, and receive giveaways. Pool admission is $1.75 for children and $3.50 for adults.

“We are thrilled to host this special series of events for our customers,” said Brandon Barrett, franchise Operator of the restaurant. “They are the reason for our success and we want them to know how much we appreciate their business, so we are excited to take a week to celebrate!”

East Valley schools offer free meals in summer

Free lunch and breakfast at East Valley schools this summerThe Gilbert Unified School District, along with Chandler, Mesa and Apache Junction unified school districts, are offering free breakfasts and lunches for children 18 and younger at various locations throughout the East Valley.

Children do not have to attend that school. Adults can also purchase a meal for a low price.

Tribune crew has a sharp eye for savings

My family has been making the most of the first one: Mesa’s Arizona Museum of Natural History, Arizona Museum for Youth and Mesa Contemporary Arts offer free admission the first Sunday of every month.

‘Escape 2 Africa’ for free at Mesa Amphitheatre 6/27/09

madagascar escape 2 africa movie mesaThis Saturday, June 27, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa will be shown for free as part of Free Family Movie Nights at the Mesa Amphitheatre.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at 8 p.m. A large inflatable screen will be on the stage, allowing great views and plenty of seating on the grass and terraces. There will be free bounce houses for the kids, and concession stands will be open for business.

The public is invited to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. No alcohol is allowed.

The Mesa Amphitheatre is located at 263 N. Center St., on the southeast corner of University Drive and Center Street. For more information visit www.mesaamp.com, or call Dyan Dwyer Seaburg at (480) 644-2171.

Free Family Movie Night is being presented by the City of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities Department. “We wanted to do something for the community that would be fun and inexpensive,” assistant director J.D. Dockstader said in a statement. “The nights in Arizona are wonderful, and we have a great venue for this type of event.”

Other Free Family Movie Nights are being planned throughout the summer.
