June 27th, 2009, 9:00 am by Jayson Peters

guitarhero1Do you know a teenager looking for something to do in Queen Creek? The Queen Creek Branch Library is hosting a free teen gaming day Tuesday. Teenagers can socialize and play Guitar Hero, Wii Sports, Mario Kart and classic board games.

The event runs from 2-5:30 p.m. in the library’s Zane Grey Community Room at 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. It’s just for ages 12-18.

The library also offers teen movie nights, workshops and more events. For more information call (602) 652-3000 or visit the Maricopa County Library District’s Web site at www.mcldaz.org.

i2k5nlm5Tribune writers Mandy Zajac and Sonu Munshi are always on the lookout for good deals for their readers. My family has been making the most of the first one: Mesa’s Arizona Museum of Natural History, Arizona Museum for Youth and Mesa Contemporary Arts offer free admission the first Sunday of every month.
