Rebates for SRP, APS customers

0090055The last thing you want to be fooling around with right now is your air conditioner, but there are incentives for upgrading to a more “green” system:

The SRP PowerWise Cool Cash Rebate program offers up to $400 for the installation of qualifying new, high-efficiency systems, and SRP customers can buy shade screens at a reduced price from participating contractors.

If you’re an APS customer who owns a home in the Salt River Project water territory, you may be eligibe for rebates on your 2008 electric bills. In the East Valley, the rebates apply to a limited number of residents in the central areas of Gilbert and Chandler, according to SRP.

East Valley schools offer free meals in summer

Free lunch and breakfast at East Valley schools this summerThe Gilbert Unified School District, along with Chandler, Mesa and Apache Junction unified school districts, are offering free breakfasts and lunches for children 18 and younger at various locations throughout the East Valley.

Children do not have to attend that school. Adults can also purchase a meal for a low price.
